Description
This tool only works on the 1/2″ studs which were used on 1928-48 Fords. The cutter is hollow so it slides over the threaded end of the wheel studs and then cuts the swedged shoulder off of the wheel stud. This is necessary when changing brake drums so you don’t damage or distort the flange of the hub. U.S.A.
NOTE, WHEN USING THIS TOOL, YOU WANT TO USE IT IN A DRILL PRESS, NOT A HAND DRILL. YOUR BRAKE DRUM MUST BE CLAMPED DOWN ON THE DRILL PRESS TABLE SO IT CAN’T MOVE. IF YOU DON’T USE A DRILL PRESS AND ANCHOR THE DRUM FIRMLY, THE TOOL CAN CHATTER FROM MOVEMENT AND SNAP THE CARBIDE CUTTERS OFF. WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE THE TOOL IF THE CUTTERS ARE BROKEN OFF.
